My name is Justin. I have a 40+ year old obsession with cycling, especially in Europe. You probably have friends who could pack up a bike in whatever box they find, fly to wherever, and start bike touring. I know them. It’s easy they say, Its simple. That’s not all of us though.
I am however, a little nervous each time I go. There’s the gear, the accommodations, which type of bike container, the route planning, the train, it goes on and on. We recognize the unknown and we don’t like it. I have dealt with that unknown a few times and found it very difficult to research the details I was looking for. Bikepacking sites are inspiring, but I need to know the simple basics of how to pack my bike into a box before I start obsessing about cutting my toothbrush in half to save half an ounce. There are tons of obstacles like this that can paralyze some of us from making that leap. But that leap is WORTH IT!
My goal is to take the simple knowledge, tips, and tricks I have learned to provide you with materials, media, and eventually coaching for your planning process. I want you to have the confidence to book the trip. I want you to travel with or on your bike without wondering about the next little detail. I want you to truly immerse yourself in the ride. I want you to be in that moment, see the thing, eat the food, meet that person.
Bear with me as this starts to come together and grow. My website will get better. I will add more pdf guides that address common pain points. I will add a podcast. I will add content meant to inspire and keep you motivated. Download the Why guide. Come back again soon, and, as Rick Steves might say if he were a cyclist, keep on peddling.
